Daddy has assembled a pretty neat music/play room for Sullivan in our back room and it has quickly become his favorite place to play. There are drums back there and guitars and toy trumpets and recorders and giant mirrors to dance in …all around fun I must say.

Today Sullivan had his first Poop on the potty like a big boy. No pics of this event.
We took Sullivan to the pool today for the first time. We got a summer pass to the Walnut Creek Community Park Pool and Mommy bought him some pool floaties and swim gear and off we went. He took to the water like a pro. He splashed and kicked and just loved it when Mommy and Daddy tossed him back and forth….making waves that at times covered his face. But he smiled through it all and would turn around ready for another toss. We look forward to many more pool trips this summer and teaching Sullivan to swim.
Damon is right when he says TIME WARP ahead to one year old. Updating this blog site has been on my TO DO LIST since September. So I was inspired today when Damon broke the ice and posted the first blog of Sullivan’s new year.
It has been a busy weekend indeed. Two birthday parties for the little guy and all of his first year molars cutting through at the same time AND allergies and the sniffles to boot. But in typical Sullivan style he took it all in stride. Even on his fussiest of days he’s pretty pleasant and still finds lots of things to smile about.
This first birthday has brought out my sappy sentimental side of course. So much to be thankful for and soo much joy and happiness to process…..a home filled with a sweet and pleasant baby, a supportive and intensly active father and husband, an ever loving and ever giving extended family and friends, and endless adventures from two independent careers in real estate and the Biscuits all of which bring meaning and purpose into my life.
Well I’ll stop the babbling as I know most of you just want to see pictures so here are a few for you to enjoy(Sullivan at Chuck E. Cheese on his actual birthday and Sullivan at his birthday circus at granddad Jerry and grandmother Judy’s house on Sunday the 20ths. In this picture he is in Ring One of the three ring circus in the back yard….the Teach Sullivan to Walk Arena). We’ll try to get more posted on his album site too…..we’ve got loads of pictures to catalogue all the way back to Christmas if you can believe it. But we’ll let you know when they are posted.
